Technology turns water into gas — and clean fuel

This particular story with this headline ran in the Lowell Sun newspaper on January 19, 2009. It sounds too good to be true and it is. The physics simply dictate that it can’t work. Using the energy from the car’s battery (which comes from the gasoline powered engine) to electrolyze water into hydrogen and oxygen and then burn it again simply *can’t* be a net energy saver. The energy has to come from somewhere. In addition, these modifications may violate air pollution control systems.
